Depending on trim and year, the G37 (2008-2013) uses either a transponder key with a built-in remote or the Infiniti Intelligent Key — a smart key with push-button start. Both types are stock items for us.

Intelligent Key notes

If your G37 has a start button on the dash, your key is a proximity fob: replacement includes cutting the emergency blade, pairing the electronics and registering the code. Start-to-finish is usually about an hour. Weak range or "key not detected" warnings often just mean a dead fob battery.
